As a photographer, I'm always looking for new avenues to explore. I began following several birth photographers this last year. Birth is one of the most amazing things we can experience in life, documenting those moments would be one of the most fulfilling avenues I can imagine! I'm ready!

While I've not explored that avenue yet, I started to "dip my toe in." In 2011 I began offering free "Welcome Baby!" sessions to moms who book a maternity or newborn session. This little session has become quite popular and I have to say it's one of my favorites! What's better than spending time with a tiny newborn baby and new parents!?!

Meet Miss Harper! Harper is my first baby of 2012. Such a precious little girl! Congratulations Mom and Dad!!!

One day at a Time

I don't usually blog much and really don't blog in any detail. I want to change that. I want my blog to show more of my personality and that I was present in every moment, every photo shoot. Not that I was just there clicking the button. Anyone could do that. I want to tell the story of how that wedding day touched my heart or how that sleeping baby's grin made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I want everyone who wants to, be able to get a piece of my personality from my Facebook or blog. I'm not just a photographer, I'm a mom, a wife, a friend, a woman with feelings and emotions... every single wedding, baby, etc. I photograph, I feel a connection to. I feel that deep emotional pull at weddings and the meaning behind that day. I feel with my photography. Get ready to experience more of that with me. If I love my photos, You will Love my photos.

These last few months, I've had several expeiences that have made me look at how I spend my life. Not just my life as a whole and my goals 5-10 years from now but my day-to-day life. Let's face it, isn't it our day-to-day life added all together that makes up our eventual life goals? So, take life one day at a time, take baby steps, enjoy every day so you will enjoy your whole life as much as you possibly can.

Think about right now....I always say that I want so badly to be a "full-time" photographer. I really am now, I just have a salary job as well so all my income doesn't come from my photography business. Some day, hopefully soon, I'll be able to spend most of my "work" time on photography. However, right now there isn't an hour of my day that I'm not thinking or creating something in my head about my next two, three....four shoots. (How can I do that better?; What can I learn now?; That headband would be precious on my next newborn.) Having the label of a "full-time" photographer doesn't change how creative or how much heart I put into my work. I want to Love all my shoots and projects. Love your passion, don't turn it into "work". Show the world your heart in your work. Let it speak!

Sweet Miss Alexi is 3 months old

I'm enjoying so much watching this sweet little angel grow up. Sweet Alexi is 3 months old now. It seems liek yesterday, her mother and I were planning her newborn portrait session. She's such a beautiful little girl. I'm looking forward to many more adorable sessions!

Ayden is so enthralled with Thomas the train, he didn't even stop to realize the icing was still all over his face or that the birthday party was still buzzing around him. LOVE IT!!!

All packages include a custom portrait session (in studio or outdoors) the time and talent of photographer, Holly Allred. All images will be cropped and custom edited to include color, black & white, sepia, tinting and custom cropping. Custom editing and tinting will be determined by the photographer.

Digital choice Portraits:

Ideal for anyone. Engagements, Bridals, maternity, newborns, children, families, Seniors, the inspiring Actor / Actress or anyone looking to do their own albums & scrapbooking

Last months mini sessions were a huge success! Thank you all who participated!!! All those who responded agreed that the disk of images was what they really wanted. Therefore, I've decided to create a new package list for digital images. Give me ideas. One so far is, the "Grow Baby, Grow!" collection. This collection is similar to my Sweet Pea collection but will be entirely digital.

The "Grow Baby, Grow!" collection will include:
-Maternity session with a disk of images
-Newborn session with a disk of images
-a digital birth announcement will be designed from the Newborn session &
will be included on the disk
-3 month session with a disk of images
-6 month session with a disk of images
-9 month session with a disk of images
-12 month session with a disk of images

Plus, I am promoting in-home newborn sessions. Your home does not need to be a museum or a decorators dream. Many of the photos will be close shots of your baby. In-home sessions will allow your baby to be more at ease in his or her own setting and have a more personal touch for your memory book. All you need is a warm room and some good window light.

Last but not least, for a limited time, I will offer a complimentary welcome baby session when you book a Maternity and/or a Newborn session. This welcome baby session will be within the first 48 hours of the baby's birth. I will visit the hospital and take some shots of you enjoying the beginning of your new family.

Again, please share your ideas with me for my new digital packages. As always, prints, albums, and other items will be available for order along with the traditional packages.

Sweet Caroline...I couldn't help but be nostalgic and hum that familiar Neil Diamond tune while I was editing these pics of this precious little girl. Caroline has made her photographic debut! I'm so happy that Bobby and Emily thought of me when they decided to have Caroline's first professional photos taken. She's such a sweetheart! These pics should melt the heart of any mom. Who would have thought a simple pillow would make great baby photos...they have to be my favorites!
